LNS America, Inc.’s cyclonic coolant filtration kit removes fine chips from fluid before it returns to a machine tool tank. The process also protects the machine tool from potential damage, extends cutting tool life and improves product quality, says the company.

The kit can be used for cast iron and aluminum applications and is available as an option on LNS chip conveyors. It can also be retrofitted to existing chip conveyors on the factory floor. According to the company, the system is suitable for cleaning water-soluble coolant and does not use media filters, thus eliminating both filter purchase and disposal costs.
