IR Temperature Sensor Packs IO-Link

Balluff’s BTS infrared temperature sensor integrates an IO-Link interface and two switching outputs. It can monitor temperatures between 250°C and 1,250°C in standard and inaccessible or hazardous areas

Without making physical contact, the sensor can detect hot objects in motion and record temperature values. Also called an pyrometer, the BTS comes in an M30 stainless steel housing with IP67 protection. The component arrangement is said to be the first in this form factor to offer a multi-function display with plain text information and automatic display orientation similar to a smartphone. An analog 4 mA to 20 mA output is available as an option.
