ACM Series Linear Brushless Iron-core Motor by Akribis Systems

When a direct-drive application requires high force, the ACM Series linear brushless iron-core motor is the solution.

Incorporating the ACM motor into a wide variety of equipment is possible because of its compact design. Available in a wide range of sizes and cooling options, there is an ACM motor to fit any need.

By using iron-core technology, the ACM reduces cost and increases force compared with ironless direct-drive solutions. In addition, these motors experience low cogging due to a skewed magnet placement and a special tooth design integrated into the iron core. Multiple motor coils can be used on one track, unlike conventional ball screw linear actuators, allowing for a more efficient use of space and higher throughput.

Akribis Systems offers the ACM in profiles as small as 35 by 50 millimeters up to 65 millimeters by 250 millimeters with continuous forces ranging from 53 newtons up to almost 10,000 newtons. Standard convection cooling, forced air cooling, and water cooling are available on most models.
