Optimum light yield, proven housing for ex zones: Light-weight, durable LED lights for general lighting purposes

STAHL introduces the new EXLUX 6402 series of LED-based linear luminaires for exceptionally efficient general lighting in hazardous areas (Ex zones 2/22). The 52 W model achieves an excellent light efficiency of more than 100 lm/W thanks to a high luminous flux of 5,800 lm, which means that one 52 W EXLUX 6402 approximately matches the luminous flux of two standard 36 W fluorescent lamps. At the same time, the LED-based luminaires ensure a much greater lifespan of up to 100,000 operating hours. The new series features a slim, flat GP housing. The lamps have been approved to provide type Ex nA protection, which greatly facilitates installation and maintenance. Process documentations originally used with the predecessor technology of fluorescent lamps can be carried forward. Accessories and mounting parts are compatible as well – existing facilities can therefore be easily supplemented with LED technology. The new units also weigh at least a third less than comparable competing standard products. The IP66/IP67 devices are mechanically robust and can be operated at ambient temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +55 °C. EXLUX 6402 luminaires can also be supplied e.g. with accessories for pole-mounted installations. Standard 28 W or 52 W models with or without diffusers and with a length of 700 mm or 1,310 mm are available at short notice and at particularly attractive prices.
