Magnetic formwork solution for prestressed concrete elements

New development in magnetic formwork technology from RATEC

We recently developed a transversal shuttering for the production of prestressed solid elements in fix production beds. The shuttering is based on our SAS Standard Automatic Shuttering and consists of a base part with integrated high-performance magnets and preformed slots for the tensioned wire at intervals of 125 mm along the top of the base. After the positioning of the wires, the upper part of the formwork is screwed onto the magnetically fixed base part. In this case, the solution was developed at the customer‘s request.

Both parts have gripping knobs for pick-up by a traverse for handling. However, the base formwork can also be placed by robot.

The solution saves time for the customer due to faster placement and removal of the formwork and also contributes to a reduction of plywood in production.

SAS Standard Automatic Shuttering is the system for individual configuration to customer needs. It is cut precisely to the customer's requirements. The SAS is suitable for robots and can be configured for each shuttering robot. This makes it the perfect shuttering solution for automated operation, particularly in circulation systems. With integrated magnetic components with a retaining force of 900 – 2100 kg, it reduces the shuttering work steps to mere positioning and activation of the magnets.
