The system is designed to provide precise automatic measurement of internal diameters of engine bores. To solve the problem, the customer used our RF040-65/115 6-beams sensor, placed on a robot. The sensor moves in the bores and measures the internal diameters in its upper, middle and lower parts. Periodically, the sensor is automatically calibrated using a master ring.
The system is successfully operated at one of the Tata Group enterprises.
