SAB Bröckskes introduces the SABClean CATLine CAT 5e S, a highly flexible Industrial Ethernet cable engineered for cleanroom environments requiring both strict air cleanliness and continuous mechanical movement.

In applications such as semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and precision automation, cables must meet ISO Class 1 requirements according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1 while ensuring reliable data transmission under dynamic load. Conventional Ethernet cables are typically not designed to meet both requirements simultaneously.

The SABClean CATLine CAT 5e S addresses this challenge by combining cleanroom-compatible materials with a robust drag chain design. Its optimized sheath and material composition minimize particle emission and abrasion, making it suitable for use in highly sensitive production environments.

At the same time, the cable ensures stable CAT 5e transmission performance with a characteristic impedance of 100 Ω ±10%. The design incorporates fine-stranded copper conductors, twisted pair construction, and double shielding with aluminum foil and tinned copper braid to maintain signal integrity in industrial environments.

The cable is specifically engineered for dynamic applications, offering a small bending radius of 10 × cable diameter for flexible use and 15 × for continuous flexing. This allows integration into compact automation systems while supporting long service life in motion-intensive applications.

In addition, the cable provides strong resistance to industrial oils in accordance with UL 758 and meets flame-retardant requirements according to IEC 60332-1-2 and UL FT2, ensuring reliable operation in demanding environments.

Pre-assembled versions with M12 or RJ45 connectors are also available, simplifying installation and reducing contamination risks during system integration.
