Using the well-tested rack and pinion system, firs manufacturer that used it on the lifting field with its work platforms – SAFI GROUP Srl developed and produced the new TST 500 that allows maintenance, consolidation, water-proofing and finishing works inside the structure same as: railway tunnels, car tunnels, metro, maintenance conducture, and ducts with different sections...
Thanks to specific modular curved guides – that means they can be assembled in different ways depending on the required dimension the work platform can move along semi-circular trajectories “accom- panying” the operators on the entire working surface. Such platform is also installed with specific telescopic arms allowing it to stay closer to the walls if, for example, the gallery section is not perfectly circular.
A wide range of different setting – the operator can choose them directly from the main electric box – and an unlimited choi- ce of options, allow the work platform to be very flexible and adaptable to different site conditions. The main structure of the machine – self-propelled on tyre or on rails – enables cars and trucks to pass through it, avoiding to block the traffic inside the gallery during the works.
This type of solution devised by SAFI GROUP Srl makes it possible to employ a smaller number of workers to carry out the same work, working extraordinarily faster and with a high degree of safety, with results never before achieved with the old systems (such as scaffolding), unfortunately still used in some countries.
This machine can be made in any size, to be able to adapt to any size and shape of the tunnel or duct.
