SANY Lighthouse Factory visited by a delegation of international media

On October 15th, a delegation of 28 overseas news agencies, including Bloomberg, Agence France-Presse, The Times Britain, American International Market News Agency, swiss new Zurich, a European news photo agency, TV Tokyo, Asahi TV, and the Indian Broadcasting Foundation, among others, visited SANY’s drilling machinery lighthouse factory in the SANY Beijing industrial park.

SANY’s drilling machinery production workshop in Beijing is the world’s first lighthouse factory in the heavy equipment industry to be approved by the World Economic Forum.

Exploring the factory covering 40,000 square meters, the team of journalists witnessed hundreds of robots operating efficiently, which has led to an 85% increase in productivity and shaved 23 days off the complete production cycle, taking it from 30 days down to 7 days.

According to the introduction by Dong Mingkai, director of the SANY intelligent manufacturing institute, the drilling machinery factory has benefited from the adoption of integrative technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, IIoT and industrial technologies, having realized multi-variety, small-batch and flexible manufacturing as well as intelligent manufacturing in all aspects.

President Tang Xiuguo of SANY GROUP, extended gratitude to the delegation for their visit, stating, “The economic environment in China, peaceful and orderly, has been friendly to companies seeking development. In this new era, it has become common sense that technology is the core driver for enterprise development in the 21st century. Private enterprises like SANY,” Xiuguo added, “must create social wealth by investing more into innovative technology.”

Tang concluded that the lighthouse factory is the epitome of SANY’s advancement and is the pride of the entire manufacturing industry. It marks the defining point of the transition into the fourth industrial revolution.
