Construction Introduction: More than 300 persons including President Michael Sata with First Lady and several senior government officials attended the Kitwe – Chingola Road Construction Press conference on November 12th, 2013. The road project, located in the Copperbelt Province in north Zambia, was contracted by Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd. The overall length of the road is 45.5 km, and it is a two-way four-lane road. The investment amount is ZMK 561 million (about USD 105 million) and its construction period is 24 months.

The President was attracted by the spectacular fleet of Sany motor graders on the Kitwe – Chingola Road Construction Press conference. He listened carefully to the operator introducing the advantages of the motor grader interface, such as user-friendliness, simple operation and high working performance in all conditions, and then boarded the cab with great interest and enjoyed the pleasure of operating the motor grader himself. The President also cut the ribbon at the press conference.

The President expressed that he welcomed the commitment of Chinese enterprises in cooperation with Sany Group to various construction of Zambia, and hoped that Chinese enterprises would provide substantial support to the Zambian economic and infrastructure construction as always and make more contribution to the everlasting friendship between China and Zambia.

About 80% of motor graders used in the Kitwe – Chingola construction project are purchased from Sany. As they exhibited an outstanding performance in the rapid development of Zambian infrastructure, the Sany brand has won a great reputation for Chinese construction machinery. Since Sany entered the Zambia market in 2006, the Sany personnel, with their persevering spirit, have deeply exploited the potential demands of Zambian market, continuously improved the sales and after-sales service system, and successfully won the customers’ loyalty. The business has been increased by 60% annually in successive five years. The Zambian agent has purchased a site near the airport, preparing to build a 6S store, which will be opened officially by the end of 2014. This will mark a new stage of Sany’s business development in Zambia.
