SANY cranes work on Qatar's largest expressway project

SANY SCC550C crawler cranes and STC250 truck cranes were purchased by China Harbor Engineering for the new East West Corridor Project in Qatar.

SCC550C crawler crane with max load capacity of 55t, and STC250 truck crane with max load capacity of 25t have been used in the construction of the eastern expressways of the East West Corridor, which is managed by the contractor China Harbor Engineering since August 2015.

The new East West Corridor, the ambitious expressway project in south Doha, comprises construction of approximately 22 kilometers of a new dual carriageway, will feature five lanes in each direction stretching from west of Barwa City to Al Matar Street south of the Air Force Roundabout.

STC250 truck cranes and SCC550C crawler cranes are responsible for the heavy lift and transportation tasks in the construction of three large highway bypasses, one flyover, and related wall structures. The customer and local workers are impressed with the lifting performance and working efficiency delivered by our cranes on sites.

SANY has 25t truck crane model STC250 especially for operation in desert areas. Four-section U-shaped boom with full-extended boom length of 33.5m, jib length of 8m enable the truck crane to lift loads up to 42m. Moreover, the cab is made of anti-corrosion steel plate with ergonomic design such as air conditioner, suspension seats, and large rearview mirror, providing the operator a comfortable and safe work environment despite the hostile conditions outside.

SCC550C crawler crane with fully extended boom of 52m has the maximum lifting moment up to 55tx3.7m, and rated single rope pull of 6.5t. the crawler crane is able to handle the heavy loads and structures even for intense work routines during the expressway construction, and thanks to its optimized design, It takes no more than 10min/person to adjust, no more than 30 min/person for daily maintenance and no more than 2h/person to repair the crane machine.
