Valve sizing software with numerous functions

ValSize, the proven, easy to use program for the fluid-dynamic design of control valves provides support when determining the required valve flow coefficients (Kv values) for the process data and fluid properties of a given application. Furthermore, it also provides values for the flow velocities in the piping before and after the valve, a calculation of the expected noise pressure level, as well as values for numerous other data.

Over time, several practical extensions were added to the software:

For example, the “Process Flow Characteristic” tool enables the determination of the flow curve resulting in the installation, and the “Heat exchanger” tool allows the calculation of the mass flow of condensed saturated steam. The “Vessel Pressure Calculation” tool provides a graph of the pressure profile vs. time in a vessel that is filled with a gas through a valve or is emptied of gas via this valve.

In the new Version 10.3.4.0, it is also possible to calculate leakage flows for various leak rates.
