Alfred Schillert complements Management Board of SCHWING Technologies

2019 is a year to celebrate: SCHWING Technologies GmbH, headquartered in Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany, takes a look back at its 50th anniversary. Managing director, Ewald Schwing, founded the company in Duisburg in 1969. And now, the equipment manufacturer is expanding its management. Alfred Schillert joined the management team on February 1, 2019 alongside founder Ewald Schwing and his son Thomas, who joined the company as managing director in 2006. Schillert, the graduate engineer, will immediately be responsible for the Technology, Production and Services Division of thermal cleaning expert SCHWING.

Previously, the proven technology and marketing expert served as managing director of a technology service provider for over 30 NRW universities since 2001, specializing in innovation and IP management. Schillert has also served as the head of TechnologieAllianz, a German association for scientific advocacy, technology transfer and networking.

At SCHWING, Schillert will steer the core areas of product development, digitization and development of new business segments. "Industry 4.0 is one of our major topics that we will continue to push“, emphasizes Schillert, "as is the cooperation with universities. Internationally, we at SCHWING are already positioned excellently with 75 sales countries - this is something we must pursue and expand further“.
