Dongles provide effective licensing and copyright protection of most valuable software. In everyday situations the intense security of the dongles causes much stress, especially in cases where the number of dongles is limited but there are several users. The question always arises: who used the dongle last and which computer is the dongle currently plugged into? The network specialists from SEH have developed an efficient and comfortable solution to this problem which has drastically changed the handling of dongles.

The central principle of the myUTN-80 Dongleserver from SEH Bielefeld is as follows: place your USB dongles in a central location, connect them to the network and use the software license. The worries of losing dongles, dongles being stolen or damaged are over.

To access the program the user simply needs to connect to the dongle using the UTN manager (available for both Windows and OS X) and then use the software locally as needed. Once the user has finished with the software and the connection to the dongle is deactivated, the dongle is free to be used by another colleague without having to plug the dongle in and out of one computer or another. The myUTN-80 Dongleserver currently allows for 8 USB dongles to be connected.
