GREEN LASER
a new laser source for the eyewear industry
A request that is frequently emerging in the eyewear manufacturing industry is to perform laser marking with UV sources. The advantage of UV source is that it performs a cold marking, which means that it does not heat the material to be marked. Furthermore, it results in a very elevated precision for high quality markings, meeting the needs of the market.
UV lasers cost very high, due to their complexity of construction, and are subjects to frequent maintenance. In addition, they tend to be unstable and require constant adjustments to achieve optimal results.

The solid-state 532 nm Green source is highly recommended for lens marking and can be used to replace pad printing. It is a cold source that does not overheat the material and has a spot below 50 microns.
