GESIPA® becomes CAS Partner

GESIPA now complements the Cordless Alliance System (CAS). The cordless power tools of the GESIPA product line "Bird Pro" are to be gradually converted to the technology of the multi-vendor cordless system initiated by Metabo from spring 2021.

200 power tools - but only one battery! With the Cordless Alliance System (CAS for short), tools from a wide range of application areas can be easily connected with each other across manufacturers thanks to uniform batteries and chargers. Within this battery system, which is unique in the industry, all machines of the CAS partners are one hundred percent compatible with one battery and can be combined as desired. Based on the powerful Metabo LiHD battery technology, CAS brings together the most diverse trades under one roof and thus offers professional users the freedom to work with standard and special products from different manufacturers in a mobile and flexible manner, far away from the power socket.

Durable connections are GESIPA's specialty. This is not only represented by the highly developed riveting technology of the company from Mörfelden-Walldorf in Hessen, which was founded in 1955, but also by its latest connection with the Cordless Alliance System. Starting in the spring of 2021, GESIPA's entire line of "Bird Pro" cordless setting tools will gradually be converted to the battery technology of the multi-vendor cordless system, with the first setting tool with a CAS battery coming to market in March 2021. "We have had our eye on GESIPA as a CAS partner for a very long time," says Horst W. Garbrecht, CEO of the Nürtingen-based power tool manufacturer Metabo, initiator of CAS. "In deciding to join the CAS Alliance, we followed our value proposition of 'Inventing success together'. For our customers, for us and for all other CAS partners, a multi-vendor accumulator system simply makes great sense," says Urs Langenauer, one of GESIPA's two managing directors. CAS offers professional users the technically leading products on the market in terms of reliability and performance thanks to its top-class partners, says Langenauer. Many of the cooperation partners' machines and equipment are of interest to GESIPA's customers, but this is especially true in the metal sector, he says. "Professionals cut the material, for example, with the cordless curve shears from Trumpf and the cordless metal hand-held circular saw from Metabo, and then use our cordless riveter for joining." The broad program offered to customers by the battery alliance also has advantages for GESIPA's own development, says Langenauer. "It gives us the additional freedom to focus even more intensively on our core competencies in the field of riveting technology."
