T-REX
Big size prototyping for educational
T-Rex project shows the possibilty provided by 3D printing with Sharebot NG to realize big size prototypes with every printing plate by studying and assembling different parts.
The project can be used a simple, funny teaching tools both for younger elementary students and for high school and college students. It show how a big dinosaur skeleton was made and how it worked.
Together with its size, the most interesting part of the T-Rex is the fact that student can realize it during history and science lecture by downloading the complete project .stl file (you can find them below), replicating correctly what they’re learing during the tradictional lecture, comparing the structure to the one represented inside books. 3D printing gives the unique features to support a traditional lecture, making the student part of the learning process.
