How Do Measuring Light Curtains Work? Principles & Industrial Uses
The measuring light curtain consists of an emitter and a receiver.
The measuring light curtain consists of an emitter and a receiver. First, a light emitter channel emits a light pulse, and the corresponding receiver simultaneously searches for this pulse. When it is found, one channel scanning is completed, and then it moves on to the next channel. This continues until all scans are completed. After one cycle of scanning finished, the system records which channels are illuminated and which ones are blocked, and outputs a signal according to the system definition, which can be an analog signal, a switching signal, or an RS485 communication signal.
