How does a transparent touch display work?
In the field of touch displays, more and more technologies are being developed, such as transparent touch displays. A transparent touch display is a display device that can display content while remaining transparent. This type of display allows you to see a clear picture while still being able to see the environment behind through the screen. Because of its transparent properties, it is widely used in advertising, retail, automotive, and smart devices. And its working principle is not very complicated, but it combines transparent display technology and touch technology to give it the unique function of transparency.
Transparent display technology:
Transparent touch displays are very different from traditional displays. Traditional displays usually require backlights to display content, while transparent displays use a technology called OLED (organic light-emitting diode) or transparent LCD (liquid crystal display). The characteristic of OLED technology is that each pixel emits light on its own, so no backlight is required and it can be completely transparent. The transparent LCD, on the other hand, uses a special design to keep the screen transparent while displaying content. What these technologies have in common is that they can display clear images while maintaining transparency.
Transparent touch technology:
Transparent touch displays can not only display content, but also sense touch and have good touch functions. In the field of displays, the most common touch technologies are capacitive touch, infrared touch, and optical touch. Capacitive touch screens use conductive materials to sense the location of finger touches. Infrared touch screens identify touches by sensing infrared beams around the screen. Optical touch screens detect touch points by changing the propagation of light. These touch technologies combined with transparent display panels allow touch displays to both display content and respond to touch operations.
Application scenarios:
Transparent touch displays have many practical applications in real life. In shopping malls and outdoor and indoor billboards, transparent touch displays can allow users to interact with the screen while displaying dynamic advertisements. In cars, it can be made into windows or center consoles to display information without affecting the line of sight. In smart homes, it can be integrated into walls or windows to provide a touch interface for controlling home devices. These applications make transparent touch displays increasingly useful in modern life.
