On December 1, 2021, Hong Kong residents can use the contactless e-Channel service when passing through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Shenzhen Bay Control Point at the Hong Kong International Airport.

Through encrypted QR codes and facial recognition technology to verify identity, it can handle the entry and exit inspection procedures by yourself.

Only need to download the contactless e-channel application of the Immigration Department. After registration, you can use your mobile phone to generate an encrypted QR code, and use the encrypted QR code in the e-channel to open the first door.

The process is more convenient than before, and there is no need to take out ID card in wallet or handbag.

After entering the e-lane, when opening the second door, the system applies face recognition technology. The citizens do not need to share fingerprint scanners and apply face recognition. The citizens can pass the pass by looking at the screen. The whole process is faster and faster than the traditional e-channel.

There are 10 non-contact e-lanes to the airport, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and Shenzhen Bay Control Station.

Hongguang Display joined the project and provided touch screen HG097QX003, providing more convenience.
