New top hat rail adapter for Scalance products

For easy mounting of Scalance products at the same level as Simatic S7-1500 programmable logic controllers (PLC), Siemens offers a new top hat rail adapter: The right solution for mounting the devices of the Scalance X and Scalance S product line on the Simatic S7-1500 rail. With the Simatic S7-1500 generation, there is an increasing need for users to be able to easily mount Siemens industry products using the Simatic S7-1500 mounting rail. That’s why Siemens has developed the S7-1500 mounting kit, which makes it easy to mount the compact devices of the Scalance X and Scalance S product lines. The kit is comprised of two mounting brackets that are attached to the back of the metal housing of Scalance products. These can then be hooked into the mounting rail and fixed with screws which makes for easier handling, as the Scalance devices can be accommodated on the same mounting rail as the Simatic S7-1500 modules. The S7-1500 mounting kit was developed for compact and metal products in the Industrial Ethernet and Industrial Security product lines Scalance X-100, X-200, X-300 and S-600. environments, a cabling system for fast pre-assembled connections on site and a signaling concept for permanent network component monitoring.
