Compact, rugged, three-phase power supplies for worldwide use

SITOP smart 3-phase power supplies

Siemens has added two extremely compact, versatile devices to its range of power supplies. The new Sitop PSU300S with a 5 ampere rated output current has a width of just 50 mm, which saves space on the standard mounting rail. Siemens has also reduced the width of the 10 ampere version by 20 mm to 70 mm. These devices need no lateral installation clearances from other devices. The high-performance power supplies can deliver 1.5 times the rated current for up to five seconds to start loads with a high current demand. With their high efficiency of up to 91 percent, both power supplies have low thermal losses in the control cabinet. The devices have a 3-phase AC input with a wide-range from 340 to 550 volts and supply a reliable 24 volts even in the event of major line voltage deviations. International certifications, such as ATEX, IECEx and GL, and an ambient temperature range from -25 to 70 °C enable these power supplies to be used worldwide in a wide range of industries. These two rugged devices round off the Sitop smart product line. They are designed to meet standard requirements for a stabilized 24 volt direct voltage in machines and systems.

Users can set the output voltage to between 24 and 28 V to compensate for voltage drops along long lines. Additional Sitop modules are available to provide greater protection against disturbances in the power supply or in the 24 V circuit, for example to create an uninterruptible DC power supply or for the selective protection of 24 V load circuits. The "DC 24 volt OK" operating state can be evaluated by a controller via an integrated potential-free signaling contact. If service is required, the DataMatrix code on the front of the device allows users to download product information, such as a data sheet or manual, directly via the Siemens Industry Online Support App. For design and configuration purposes, 2D and 3D data, circuit diagram macros, operating instructions and certificates are available from the Internet without charge.
