With SIMATIC IOT2000 SG-Shield, Siemens presents a simple solution for the remote visualization of measured values, such as silo filling levels.

Simply connect the strain-gauge based load cells directly to the shield via the load cell cable. The system digitizes the analog data and transfers it to the cloud via SIMATIC IOT2050 gateway. This means you can retrieve your customers' fill levels at any time and adjust your delivery routes accordingly.

The solution's setup and commissioning requires no specific IT or automation know-how.

SIMATIC IOT2000 SG-Shield comes with a Node-RED software example and all required interfaces. The system can thus be commissioned via Node-RED Dashboard and connected to the cloud. At the same time, the recorded measured values can be saved in MindSphere, our cloud-based, open IoT operating system, and retrieved using an app, such as SITRANS Store IQ. Of course, you can also connect higher-level office business systems or individual applications to monitor filling levels, thus automating order processes or your route planning, for example.
