simatherm IH 070 and VOLCANO IH 025
Application
In two demonstrations, we fitted two bearings on a bridle roller with an IH 025 VOLCANO as well as a coupling onto a shaft with the IH 070. The bearings had a 120 mm inner diameter and took approximately 5 minutes each to heat up to 125 °C on the VOLCANO. The coupling had a 200 mm inner diameter and took 20 minutes to heat up to 140 °C which was a large enough expansion to fit easily.
The client was very impressed with how quick the simatherm heaters worked. He likes the fact that the VOLCANO is able to measure the inner diameter with a vernier while it is working.
Solution
The client purchased one of each heater after the demonstration.
