Established annual event on October 29 in Ilmenau focuses on practical exchange between experts and users of precision measurement technology

SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH invites you to this year's Expert Day for Laser Interferometric Metrology on October 29, 2025. The established specialist event will once again bring together leading experts from industry and science in 2025 to discuss current challenges and innovative solutions in high-precision measurement technology.

Industry-wide challenges at the center of the discussion

The event addresses key challenges facing users of precision measurement technology today: the compensation of measurement uncertainties in different environmental conditions, the use of interferometry systems under extreme conditions such as vacuum and the simultaneous acquisition of several measured variables for complex calibration tasks.

Top-class speakers from Heidelberg Instruments and Physik Instrumente (PI) as well as SIOS experts will present current developments and share practical experience from real applications - from semiconductor production to coordinate metrology.

"The increasing demand from manufacturing and research teams for high-precision measurement solutions clearly shows how important the direct exchange between experts has become," emphasizes Dr. Denis Dontsov, Managing Director of SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH. "With our Expert Day, we want to create a platform where innovative solutions can be discussed and practical experience shared - because only through dialog with interested parties, our customers and partners can we shape the measurement technology of tomorrow."

Live demonstrations and individual expert exchange

In addition to the specialist presentations, live demonstrations of the complete SIOS portfolio - from multi-beam interferometers to precision climate measuring stations - will provide a direct insight into the latest measurement technologies. Participants can hold individual consultations with SIOS experts and discuss specific measurement tasks. The event concept "Experts meet experts" places particular emphasis on professional exchange and interaction in a personal atmosphere.

Factory tours and networking the evening before

A supporting program with factory tours of SIOS development and production as well as a networking event on the evening before (28 October 2025) will round off the expert day.

The number of participants is deliberately limited in order to ensure intensive support and active exchange. The event will take place exclusively on site. The registration deadline is October 10, 2025.
