HOT PLATE WELDING

HOT PLATE

Hot plate welding of plastics, otherwise known as hot-blade welding, is based on an extremely simple, immediate and intuitive principle: the two elements to be welded are placed inside special molds and a plate is inserted between them that is overheated up to the melting temperature of the material. The contact with the plate causes the heating of the two pieces. The pressure exerted during the welding of the thermoplastic materials, is one of the fundamental parameters, as well as the correct temperature setting that is between 250 and 350 ° C. When the welding area is completely melted, the plate is moved away so that the two elements stick to each other before cooling.
