With a unique hermetic seal and no wearing parts, the reed switch sensor can outlast mechanical switches.

The MK31 is constructed of a rugged over-molded package containing the hermetically sealed and centered reed switch. On the outside, the reed switch is over-molded with an extremely durable thermoset plastic. Furthermore, it’s smooth flat surface and J-lead design make it highly suitable for automatic PCB placement. Because of the round corners, the MK31 is optimal in limited space. The MK24 surface mount sensors are all provided in Tape and Reel packaging suitable for pick and place automation.
