Distance Smart Sensor DSS 015 monitors distances with ultrasound
The newly developed Distance Smart Sensor DSS 015 determines the distance to objects using ultrasonic wave propagation time measurement (ToF – Time of Flight).
A suitable application for the Distance Smart Sensor DSS 015 is distance or fill level monitoring in industrial applications. Special feature: The DSS 015 even recognizes transparent objects such as glass, foil or liquids. It is also insensitive to changing light conditions. It can be easily connected to higher-level control systems (e.g.: Programmable Logic Controller) via its IO-Link interface.
