The STEGO Sensor Hub and its sensors

STEGO is expanding its range of sensors for industrial applications in the IO-Link environment. With the Sensor Hub SHC 071, the Schwäbisch Hall-based company presents a cost-efficient interface that easily integrates STEGO sensors into IO-Link installations. At the process level, the Sensor Hub SHC 071 records measurement data from up to four external, non-IO-Link capable STEGO sensors and transmits the data via IO-Link masters to higher-level control units, e.g. edge computer, cloud, PLC control, etc. . When using the sensor hub, up to four external STEGO sensors can be connected, but they only use one connection on the IO-Link master and thus have a gentle impact on the connection capacities of the IO-Link master. The number of connected sensors and the slot assignment can be freely selected. Sensors from the SEN 073 series are available for the sensor hub. The sensors are pre-calibrated and can be easily connected to the sensor hub using a plug-in connection. The bundling of the IO-Link function in the sensor hub enables a compact design of the sensors. Sensors of the SEN 073 series are available for data acquisition in these fields of application: temperature and relative humidity, temperature and absolute air pressure, visible light, illuminance and VOC.
