PTFE Expansion Joints

For universal chemical resistance

PTFE (polytetrafluor ethylene) a material with very good chemical, electrical and thermal properties. It is extremely stable against nearly all external influences and is resistant to most chemicals and solvents during continuous operation.

STENFLEX PTFE expansion joints come in sizes from DN 25 up to DN 500 and are available in white (electrically conductive) or black (made to conduct electricity due to the added carbon black).

The multi-convoluted bellows, made of high-density PTFE, are formed without cutting. Therefore the material structure remains intact. They are highly flexible, resistant to vibration, non-flamable and reject foreign matter. Furthermore they are extremely long-lasting. The maximum working temperature is + 200 °C during permanent operation. PTFE expansion joints are available with pressure ratings from PN 6 to PN 10,5.

STENFLEX PTFE expansion joints can be used in universally when the requirements cannot be met by conventional expansions joints with bellows made of rubber or stainless steel and have proven their excellence especially with aggressive media in chemical plants. They compensate for vibration, thermal stress and expansion as well as axial and radial variation within pipe systems, at pumps, apparatus and vessels. PTFE expansion joints guarantee optimal performance and safety.
