Move up to industrial additive manufacturing with the Stratasys Fortus 450mc

Replace metal jigs & fixtures with Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber, unleash new applications and benefit from open material licenses.

In the Stratasys product range, there are numerous machines in the category "Production Machines". Today we would like to introduce you to the Fortus 450mc. Stratasys has already installed over 1800 Stratasys Fortus 450mc in more than 40 countries and this machine is coming with Open Material Licenses in Q4 2022.

The Fortus 450mc delivers accurate, reliable performance that lets you transform supply chains, accelerate manufacturing and reduce production costs. Harness the speed, cost, and material advantages of industrial FDM additive manufacturing. The Fortus 450mc is one of the industrial FDM additive manufacturing machines that can be used for prototyping, jigs & fixtures and work holding as well as for end-use parts. You can print the best in class Carbon Fiber material with 35% Carbon Fibers and over 99% density. Bending test shows that Stratasys Nylon 12CF outperforms even 3D printed continuous fiber materials. Additionally, leverage its broad portfolio of advanced materials including ULTEM™ 9085/CG, ULTEM™ 1010/CG, two Antero® PEKK-based materials and the high performing FDM® Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber to expand your 3D printing applications.

What could you expect?

• Replace metal jigs & fixtures with Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber

• Reduce lead time from weeks to days

• Achieve cost saving between 50-90%

• Weight reduction up to 95%

• Open material license available for systems with all licenses

• Better Flexural Properties than 3D printed Continuous Fiber

• Best in class printer Yield*

*Full repeatability, precision and yield study available to prove this point

Unleash new applications with the Stratasys Fortus 450mc.

Coming in Q4 2022, several materials developed by material vendors will be launched. Stratasys is developing an Open Material License which will enable customers to tun parameters such as extruder temperature, material flow rate, etc. Through GrabCAD Print™ software, customers will now have access to system print parameters to refine material capabilities as needed, optimizing part performance.
