Drum Rotator with Vibration Unit and Weigh Scales

STS designed and manufactured this fully powered ATEX drum handler for a customer working with powders. Their process involved the decanting of drums of all types and sizes from 50 to 220 litres. For this application we fitted the unit with a clamping head to allow operators to adjust between a variety of drum types and sizes.
The material within the drum was hard to tip so we fitted a vibration unit to the head assembly to help displace the material and make it easier to decant.
The unit was also fitted with a power drive system which is ideal for when a large quantity of drums need to be moved over long distances. This unit was air powered but we also manufacture units with electric power drive systems. Our last feature on this unit was the load weigh scales which are a great feature to add if you have a requirement for recording or measuring material weights.
