JONO C&D Waste Treatment Solution

Due to the difference in construction habits and building materials, the compositions of C&D waste in different areas are different, but the main components are the same. The main components are soil, residual soil, brick and concrete fragments generated, reinforced concrete pile head cut off by piling, scrap metals, bamboo, waste wood, waste materials generated by decoration, all kinds of packaging materials, etc. C&D waste is usually dumped in open-air landfills without any treatment, which not only occupy a large amount of land but also produce dust and cause other environmental problems. Through our C&D waste treatment, C&D waste becomes harmless to the environment, and all the output materials are renewable resources which can be further utilized.

The construction and demilition wastes are treated by two processing lines, which are on-site demolition and fixed site demolition. The capacity is 200t/h of mobile treatment equipment. The construction waste generated from the demolition will be processed locally as recycled aggregate to avoid transportation and secondary pollution, so to control the production cost.

As for the treatment of fixed sites, a processing line with a capacity of 125t/h has been applied, which has two functions, including treatment of construction and demolition waste. The main products are 0~5mm, 5~16mm and 16~31.5mm recycled aggregates. By then, the harmless treatment rate of construction waste will reach 98% and the resource utilization rate will reach 98%.

Considering that the hardness of construction waste is stronger than that of general waste, crushers need frequent maintenance. In order to ensure the stability of the sorting system, the tech-team prepared optional crushing solution. Customer needs were met to the greatest extent without additional equipment.

Our tech-team is not only in charge of the design of the solution, but also to support the implementation of the design. During the construction process, they are responsible for the installation of equipment and the system.But in practice, tech-team has to consider more. Leo Shen, technical engineer of the LHASA project, had 6 years of experience in the field of solid waste treatment solutions. "We had to work closely with the customer's civil engineering team to ensure the quality of the whole project," he added, "After construction phase, we would commission the entire system to make it operate efficiently." During the trial operation, the tech-team found an issue that could be optimized. "Due to the large volume of input material, we enhanced the structure of the belt conveyor to enable it to hold more weight," explained Leo Shen.

Recycled aggregate is the main product of the project, including brick making, paving and so on. Generally, the lower the impurity content of aggregate, the higher the value. The customer was very satisfied with the produced aggregate because the quality can meet market standards. Recycled aggregate sales provided more income for project operations. Besides, highly automated equipment saved customers unnecessary labor costs. This project solved the problem that there was no disposal site for the local C&D waste. It provided an effective way for the recycling of C&D waste. The project also created many jobs for the local people, and contributed to the development of local green economy.
