Looking back on SPS 2019: Best in Show Award for AI Rugged Computer

Last week the automation sector met up again at SPS in Nuremberg. Syslogic received the Best in Show award for its AI Rugged Computer RPC A2 from the renowned Embedded Computing Design expert portal.

Embedded specialists Syslogic used SPS 2019 to introduce their portfolio of embedded computers and HMI systems. One of the new products presented by Syslogic in Nuremberg is the AI Rugged Computer RPC A2. Independent expert portal Embedded Computing Design recognized this computer as Best in Show in the Embedded Systems category.

The Rugged Computer RPC A2 combines a Jetson TX2 SoM (System on Module) from NVIDIA with a clever and robust electronics and housing design from Syslogic. Systematically designed for use in difficult terrain, the Rugged Computer complies with protection category IP67. This currently makes it the most robust device with an NVIDIA processor on the market.

Syslogic is a member of the NVIDIA Jetson partner program. The program promotes the development of products based on the Jetson embedded platform and thus paves the way for edge AI applications.

Michael Jung, Product Manager at Syslogic, says: "We’re really happy about the Best in Show award." He feels that it underlines the fact that the Rugged Computer RPC A2 is currently a unique product.

In recent months, Syslogic has continuously expanded its portfolio of AI-enabled industrial computers. These computers enable autonomous decisions without human intervention and without connection to the cloud, thanks to pre-trained neuronal networks combined with GPU-accelerated data processing. This opens up fields of application such as autonomous driving or intelligent vision. The Syslogic Rugged Computer RPC A2 thus paves the way for future generations of autonomous machines and robots.
