All Syslogic sites meet ISO 9001:2015

Successful recertification for embedded specialist

Embedded specialist Syslogic has brought its ISO certification up-to-date. All company sites in Germany and Switzerland have now been certified to the new standard ISO 9001:2015.

ISO certification of strategic importance

---

Syslogic is a leading provider of embedded computers and HMI (human machine interface) systems. These technologies are used as control units in a wide range of industries such as industrial automation or the rail sector. As a provider for both medium-sized enterprises and large corporations, ISO certification is crucial for Syslogic. The company has been certified since 2003, with recertification necessary every three years. This summer, auditors from the internationally active SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance) performed testing according to the new standard ISO 9001:2015 for the first time ever. All three Syslogic sites passed the test and were recertified.

Christian Binder, CEO of Syslogic, says, "In years past, we have continually developed our processes." According to Binder, the current ISO certification shows that these efforts have paid off.

Syslogic’s top priority is always customer satisfaction. All other stakeholder groups were integrated into the quality management system as well, which is particularly important for this new certification to ISO 9001:2015. Compared to ISO 9001:2008, this new certification broadens the process orientation to include all stakeholder groups. The certification features new requirements for opportunities and risk management as well as knowledge management. For the first time ever, possible opportunities and risks along the value chain must be analyzed and evaluated. Furthermore, structured knowledge management that gathers process-relevant knowledge and makes it available to all relevant employees is now an explicit requirement. In addition, executive management will now have more responsibility towards its employees.

Christian Binder is confident that Syslogic can further expand its position on the embedded market. He says, "Our ISO certification shows that we never stop challenging ourselves and improving." Syslogic offers fair market, qualified industrial electronics and excellent service – something customers value. In recent years, the company has focused on expanding its range of mobile devices. Syslogic is supplier to numerous customers in the railway, farming technologies, automotive, AGVS (automated guided vehicle systems) and special-purpose vehicle industries.
