Data monitoring at any time from any place

The RTR 500GSM Cellular base station facilitates automatic downloading of recorded data and monitoring of current readings during transportation or from locations where LAN connections are impossible.

The RTR-500GSM mobile base station operates via wireless communication and is equipped with GSM phone network capabilities. In combination with wireless data loggers from T&D''s RTR-500 series and if within communication range for GSM cellular phone service, it can be used to transmit data and warnings from remote or moving locations. Tracking data such as temperature and humidity measurements during transportation, or monitoring data in the mountains, at sea or in other out of the way places is easy and uncomplicated. When a measurement exceeds an upper or lower limit and has been judged by the RTR-500GSM to require an alert, a warning report can be sent via e-mail or SMS to specified e-mail addresses, enabling users to be constantly aware of any changes in measurement readings.

The RTR-500GSM''s wireless communication range, if unobstructed and direct, is about 150 metres, and this can be expanded with repeaters. Recorded data and current readings can be automatically downloaded from remote units at set intervals and this data can then be sent by e-mail or FTP to a designated address. Users can take advantage of the free of charge T&D WebStorage Service, a central server where up to 20 MB of data can be stored. This guarantees easy access to data at any time from any place and also means that data can be shared safely, if desired.

The RTR-500GSM base unit operates with an AC adaptor or an external power source (max 34V). Alternatively, it will also run off four AA alkaline batteries for approximately ten days.
