11 Sets Taishan Group LPG Bullet Tank Delivered to Angola
Strengthening Global Presence with Major Delivery to Angola Sonangol, Enhancing China's Manufacturing Footprint
11 Sets Taishan Group LPG Bullet Tank Delivered to Angola
In October 2024, Taishan Group, a leading high-pressure vessel manufacturer, secured a significant order for 17 LPG bullet tanks from Angola Sonangol, one of Angola's largest oil and gas companies. This deal, valued at over 20 million USD, marks another milestone in Taishan Group’s commitment to providing world-class solutions to the global energy sector.
Project Overview and Key Deliverables
The LPG bullet tanks ordered by Sonangol are designed for underground storage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Angola, a critical component of the country's growing energy infrastructure. The tanks are each 8 meters in diameter, 80 meters in length, and weigh a substantial 480 tons. This first batch of 11 tanks has already been successfully delivered, with the remaining 6 sets scheduled for delivery at the end of 2024.
Due to the massive size and weight of the LPG tanks, the production process involved transporting the tank sections to the port in multiple batches. The tanks were then welded and assembled at the port, showcasing Taishan Group’s expertise in handling large-scale projects with complex logistical requirements.
Strengthening Global Ties Through Strategic Deliveries
This delivery not only strengthens Taishan Group’s foothold in the international market but also aligns with the company's broader strategy of expanding its global reach. Over the years, Taishan Group has gained significant experience in delivering large-scale pressure vessel products, particularly in the petrochemical, nuclear power, offshore oil, and new energy equipment sectors. This order for Sonangol is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to diversify its export destinations, with previous deliveries to “One Belt and One Road” countries and regions.
Technological Advancements and Quality Assurance
Taishan Group is committed to continuous improvement in its manufacturing processes. The success of this project further emphasizes the company’s advanced technology and high-quality manufacturing capabilities. The design and production of the LPG bullet tanks adhere to stringent international safety and quality standards, ensuring reliability and durability in harsh operating environments.
Looking Ahead: Expanding Market Opportunities
With the first batch of 11 LPG bullet tanks successfully delivered, Taishan Group is positioned for continued growth in the international market. The company’s proactive approach to market expansion, combined with its ongoing investment in technology and equipment improvements, will help meet the growing demand for energy storage solutions globally.
This delivery is also a step forward in enhancing China’s global manufacturing presence. Taishan Group plans to leverage its success in Angola to expand its reach to other countries, particularly those involved in large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
