In order to actively respond to the national "One Belt, One Road" strategic plan, Shidao Heavy Industry and Hengyi Brunei signed a PMB petrochemical project-a flexible coking unit with an annual output of 1 million tons. This project is the sixth flexible coking process unit in the world and the first flexible coking process unit produced in China.

The project includes vaporizers with φ13360mm, heaters with φ4330mm and φ9365mm, reactors with φ3650mm-φ5450mm and scrubbers with φ4000-φ5038mm. Due to the large diameter of the equipment, the variety of materials, and the complex structure of the project, the company faces great challenges in equipment manufacturing, heat treatment, hoisting, and transportation. The majority of employees have overcome difficulties, united and cooperated. At present, the vaporizer has been successfully delivered, and the rest of the equipment is being sent to Brunei.

The Hengyi Brunei PMB project is Brunei’s largest foreign industrial investment so far, and it is also China’s first batch of “One Belt, One Road” key projects. It is known as the flagship cooperation project between China and Brunei. The full name of Hengyi Brunei PMB project is Da Moura Island Integrated Petrochemical Project. The planned annual oil refining capacity of the first phase of the project is 8 million tons, including an annual production of 1.5 million tons of paraxylene, 500,000 tons of benzene, and nearly 6 million tons of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene products. The second phase of the project plans to add 14 million tons/year of crude oil processing capacity, including 1.5 million tons/year of ethylene and 2 million tons/year of p-xylene.

Due to the complex product structure of the Hengyi Brunei project, high manufacturing technology requirements and short construction period, customers have put forward strict requirements from the preliminary technical preparation to the later raw material procurement, material processing and manufacturing. After the production plan was issued, in order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, the company set up a special project team. The production department took the lead to organize weekly meetings for personnel from the technical, procurement, production, and quality inspection departments to discuss the problems encountered in the project manufacturing process. Communicate, so that the problem can be resolved as soon as possible. In order to ensure the production progress, the company also set up a temporary office in Shidao Port, where the person in charge of the production department arranges and guides the work at the construction site every day; technicians often go to the site for technical guidance; the quality management department also sends backbones to strictly control the product quality turn off.

Chairman Cao of the group also paid great attention to the progress of the project, and went to the construction site many times to guide the work, which greatly improved the workers' enthusiasm for production.

In order to deliver the project's products on schedule, when the night was quiet, the workers on the wharf used lights to fight to catch up with the progress; when the snow fell, the workers on the wharf were exposed to severe cold and frost and snow outdoors, insisting on construction as planned. Everyone is working together to make contributions to the equipment as soon as possible. It is precisely because of the selfless dedication of the countless dedicated workers that the equipment was delivered on time.

The successful completion of the Hengyi Brunei petrochemical project has further enhanced Shidao Heavy Industry's comprehensive manufacturing capabilities and helped "Made in China" move toward high-end.
