Intelligent data logger solutions ensure accurate laboratory measurements

The safeguarding of climatic conditions is a key task when working with sensitive laboratory tests or storing samples. T&D Corporation assists with tailor-made data logger solutions that facilitate handling, safeguarding and compliance with legal regulations. The devices in the company’s RTR-500 series can be applied flexibly in refrigerators, freezers, storage cabinets and work areas, and even in chilled transportation boxes. They monitor different temperature and humidity zones simultaneously while measurements are automatically documented without any effort or need for manpower. Thanks to the alert functions and T&D’s free cloud storage service, laboratory staff can supervise data from anywhere and at any time.

The lightweight and robust data loggers are the size of a matchbox and, depending on the sensor type being used, they measure temperature, humidity and additional parameters such as relative humidity, voltage, 4-20mA, pulse, UV, illuminance and CO2. Each base station can connect up to 100 data loggers wirelessly, and measurements are automatically forwarded at chosen intervals via WLAN, cable LAN, USB or GSM to T&D’s cloud-based WebStorage Service. This server offers 20 MB of storage capacity per registration, which is sufficient for comprehensive archiving. Stored data can easily be accessed 24 hours a day, independent of place, simply by using a PC or T&D’s mobile app. Alternatively, users can choose to use their own internal storage facilities in conjunction with T&D’s Current Readings Monitor software. All software is supplied free of charge with the RTR-500 series data loggers so that measurements are displayed continuously in neatly arranged tables and graphs for easy documentation. Should critical measurements be reached, the system relays an alert by SMS, e-mail or optical and acoustic signals via the app or on site so that appropriate action can be taken before damage occurs and precious samples are spoiled.
