Programmable pulse divider and flow transmitter DFD420

Universal device with easy programming for flow measurement instruments

The DFD420 flow transmitter is a pulse / current converter that fits both Covol series oscillating piston and TM series turbines flowmeters of Tecfluid SA as well as other pulse transmitters on the market.

It has two outputs. A 4-20 mA analog output in a 2 wire loop that also supplies power to the instrument and another isolated one that provides proportional pulses to the input pulses as a configurable alarm.

All parameters of the transmitter can be programmed by means of USB connection, with the Winsmeter DFD software for PC of Tecfluid SA, which can be downloaded from the brand website. Programming and setting of the instrument can be easily done in an intuitive way using that software.

The DFD420 can be supplied compact with the sensor in an IP68 aluminium enclosure placed on top of the sensor or separate version to mount it in a DIN rail.

Over previous versions, this is an universal device and can be used not only with Tecfluid flowmeters, but also with other sensors with pulse transmitters on the market.

The input is ready for different pulse types: turbine pick up, reed contact, open collector and optoisolated.

Unlike their predecessors, their assembly is compact, avoiding loss of information and minimizing electrical interferences, although there is also the possibility of remote installation so it can be connected to other devices on the market.
