Mechatrolink Sniffer: how “to open a window” on net’s traffic
Thanks to the efficiency of the Power operative system, the PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) developed by Tex Computer equipped of a Mechatrolink-II interface is now capable to “open a window” on net to observe and identify with maximum accuracy the messages exchanged between Master node (Controller) up to 14 Slave nodes (Drives for brushless motors and V/F or vectorial inverters).
This function allows you to register in “real time” the net traffic on a USB PenDrive in order to analize it after on a PC Windows with the proper program called FieldBus Logger.
The registered data, available in csv format, can be analized also through normal electronic calculating pages (spreadsheet), and they can be sent also via FTP to SCADA control and supervision programs (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) which manage the machine or the plant.
