Its basic equipment includes around seventy analog and digital I/O, inputs for encoder, serial ports, a few CAN ports and an Ethernet port. Expansion towards other automation devices is possible through the support of CANopen fieldbus (CiA 401 profile for I/O, CiA 402 profile for the drives, CiA 406 profile for the Encoder), Mechatrolink-II (for Yaskawa drives) and EtherCAT with CoE protocol (CANopen over EtherCAT).
