PowerU: also the intermediate range has a double “CORE”

PowerU: also the intermediate range has a double “CORE”

Technological updating of the controllers of the Power family continues successfully: after PowerH, which has been the first PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) of Tex Computer to use an architecture with 2 independent process cores, and PowerD has now implemented this architecture also on the intermediate controller of the range: PowerU.

The new product faithfully reproduces the layout of PowerF with the following improvements:

Flash memory has been doubled; this memory, which hosts the operative system and the edited application program, is now 16 Mbyte

Not retentive internal RAM has passed from 256 to 512 Kbyte

Ethernet communication has been accelerated

A new technology to convert analog/digital (Sigma Delta) has been adopted; it allows you to sample analog inputs with a resolution 14/15 bit

An USB port type 2.0 has been added, quicker than the classical 1.1 provided with all the controllers in production

8 TTL outputs have been added

PowerU, which can be provided with color LCD with 10”, 12” or 15” touch screen, can manage up to 12 interpolated axes interfacing the drives both in fieldbus (EtherCAT, CANopen or Mechatrolink) and in wired logic (+/- 10V, PWM and Step/Direction).

This PAC, besides performing PLC, HMI and Motion Controller functions, allows you to execute efficiently the role of SMART HUB in an Ethernet net IP of fabric orientated to implement cyber-physical architectures type Industry 4.0.
