Delta robot

Delta robot

These robots with parallel kinematics are developed both in rotary and linear versions. The first is particularly adaptable to transport light loads quickly, while the second is mainly used to move the extrusion head of 3D printers.

Tex Computer has included in the operative system of its Programmable Automation Controller direct/inverted kinematics functions for both versions, offering its clients a basic application program called SimpleMover.

The application has some configuration pages, protected by password, with which the installer of the robot sets geometric parameters of the kinematics in use and the ones which determine dynamic performances of movements.

In the page for manual movements it’s possible to move the axes and drive manually the device to pick up/release the load.

To create a working program, typically formed by a sequence of commands of “point to point” movements intercalated by actions and/or conditions of the executive flow, there is a special editor from which, pressing a touch key, you can display the list of all available commands.

Each command has a page of parameters specific to its functioning; when a command’s configuration page is active it’s also possible to move manually the axes to self learn cartesian coordinates relative to the editing point.

The basic application program can be easily enlarged and adapted to different needs, also adding possible I/O and extra axes.
