TMI ENCOURAGES THE PRACTICE OF SPORTS AMONG ITS WORKERS

"Work and Paddle" Tournament

More and more companies organize sporting activities outside the workplace, so that the workers can cast the stress aside, fraternize with colleagues and improve their empathy with the Company. For the companies, these activities have multiple benefits: sick leave is reduced, it increases productivity, it increases the worker’s feeling of loyalty towards the Company, etc.

In this sense, a group of TMI workers organize the “Work and Paddle” Tournament every year, which after 5 editions, has been consolidated as an inescapable leisure appointment for the Company’s employees themselves, and also for several of the Company’s collaborators and suppliers, that accompany them in the event.

A total of 24 players participated in the last edition of the event. The athletes fought in various duels of limited duration for 5 hours. In forming the couples, one of whom was an expert and the other new to this sport, every team played a minimum of 4 matches. The winners of the 5th Edition of the Tournament were the Project Manager, Óscar Águila, and the Workshop Leader, Jordi Charles.

All the participants were given a gift, courtesy of the sponsors, which in this edition were Mecánicas MAYBO, Mecánicas Bota, Viatges Lleida and Grup MC. A lunch was organized among all the attendees to conclude the event.
