Proven concept in a new design:
The Splitting Entry System now with protection class IP66.
The Splitting Entry System was already in its previous form extremely popular with manufacturers of switchgear – or, generally speaking, wherever large cable diameters are used. The big advantage of this cable entry solution is its separable structure. As a result, not only ready-made cables with connectors can be used, but above all it facilitates the handling and installation of rigid and heavy cables with correspondingly large cross-sections.
Based on this concept, the Splitting Entry System was revised. Due to the new design of the removable inlays, the system can be adapted even more precisely to the respective cable diameters of 8mm to 64mm. Especially since it offers the flexibility to reduce the diameter again afterwards if necessary. The special highlight, however, is that the protection class of the cable entry solution has been increased to IP66.
The Splitting Entry System is therefore completely tight-dust and even protected against powerful water jets. Consequently, the solution is even better suited for outdoor applications, which are increasingly being used in connection with renewable energy. Specific examples of this are central inverters, industrial energy storage solutions (ESS) or UPS systems.
Well-suited for these fields of application, the Splitting Entry System can be used in a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C. In addition, thanks to its self-extinguishing property according to UL94-V0 and being halogen-free, it offers the necessary safety even in the event of a fire. The bottom line is that the new Splitting Entry System is a perfect fit for any site of operation worldwide. This is true as well from a regulatory perspective considering its RoHS and REACH conformity and the availability of a Yellow Card for the used TPE material. All the more as the product themselves will be UL listed.
The new Splitting Entry System with protection class IP66 will be available in the variants MC1 and MC2 – for one respectively two cables – from July 2022. If you are interested or have any questions, you are more than welcome to contact us already today!
