TZONE USB data loggers are certified with EN12830
The Ministry of Agriculture updates the list of temperature recorders to be used for the transport and storage of frozen foods
Monitoring temperatures throughout the cold chain is essential to ensure that perishable foodstuffs are maintained at adequate temperatures and that these temperatures are recorded for ongoing monitoring. Such monitoring and controls must be in place to eliminate or minimize health risks to consumers.
The EU Regulation EU 37/2005 requires the use, for frozen products, of temperature recorders conforming to this standard and regularly verified according to standard NF EN 13486.
EN 12830 standard specifies the technical and functional characteristics required of air temperature recorders to monitor the transport, storage and distribution of chilled, frozen and ice-cream foods. It applies to temperature recorders, equipment used by all actors in the sector to help ensure that temperatures are maintained and recorded correctly.
All TZONE USB temperature and humidity data loggers are EN 12830 compliant to meet the demands of the frozen and chilled foods storage and transportation industries. To become accredited, the loggers were required to go through various validity tests, which verified all of their stated specifications. An independent report was satisfied that all of the conditions had been met.
