Brake Test Machines

We have designed and built a test bench to test dry friction pads, brake discs and clutches in accordance with the standards, simply and automatically.

The function of this test bench is to carry out tests (Krauss, ATE, static, inertial, etc.) in order to calculate the coefficients of friction of the braking system, using an AC motor, which simulates the behavior of the inertia generated by the movement during the braking process.

Overall control of the machine is done by a PC that governs different PLCs, between 100 and 3000Nm torque, up to 8000 rpm and up to 500kW power.

Tests according to standard or special normative. The results have been verified with approved dynamometers made in obtaining a less than 1% in the coefficient of friction error.

Sequenced dynamic and static tests, performed automatically without human intervention.

Sequence at different temperatures static and dynamic tests performed automatically by the machine.

Inertia simulation desired by calculating the theoretical speed and adjusting the actual speed every millisecond. They can be simulated inertias 0Kgm2 to 9999Kgm2.

With the machine comes complete documentation with wiring diagrams, drawings, source files in LabVIEW and LabVIEW license to modify.
