The new UR20 is here!

Universal Robots adds an all-new 20kg payload model to its industry-leading line of industrial cobots.

Paris, June 21, 2022 – Universal Robots, Danish manufacturer of collaborative robots, unveils a new 20 kg payload cobot within its product range. Called UR20, this cobot features an all-new design based on Universal Robots' engineering experience. It presents itself as the latest addition to the wide range of cobots from Universal Robots.

The UR20 is the best demonstration yet of Universal Robots' unparalleled cobotics innovation. With its completely new joint design, its use will allow for even faster cycle times as well as the ability to handle heavier loads. Its 1750mm reach has been designed to work the full height of the standard Euro pallet, which will transform the way companies pack and palletize. As for its footprint, the robot's small footprint will allow companies to do more in existing production spaces.

In addition to palletizing, the UR20 is ideal for welding, handling, loading/unloading and machine supervision tasks, as well as for the innovative solutions created by its vast ecosystem of partners.

Universal Robots launched the first commercially viable cobot in 2008 and has since built an ecosystem of over 1,100 independent integrators, distributors and partners. The latter create components, kits and applications for its cobots. The company has sold over 50,000 cobots and has relied on knowledge gained from its established customer base to design this latest product.

The UR20 marks the start of a new series of innovative next-generation robots, which will complement the already highly successful e-Series range.
