Multi-talented for pressure measurement - A ceramic that outperforms all others

Each of the pressure transmitters of the new VEGABAR 80 series family have different and outstanding talents. VEGABAR 82 is the robust ‘all-rounder'', with an innovative ceramic CERTEC® measuring cell, a component that VEGA itself, as a full-range pressure instrumentation manufacturer, develops and produces. This highly versatile instrument with oil-free ceramic cell can cover two-thirds of all applications in the process industry.

A real feature: this new ceramic pressure cell is highly resistant to temperature shocks – a patented technological break-through and absolute world first. What is more, VEGA engineers have eliminated condensation sensitivity in the sensor and the standard instrument can also handle temperatures up to +130° C, which means it''s ideally equipped for use in the food and beverage industry. Its extremely high factor of 200 overload resistance is exclusive to the ceramic pressure market. Similarly, its measuring range of 25 mbar is unique - without using electronic turndown. At the upper end, the ceramic cell range extends to 100 bar. An optional “second line of defense” is useful for extra process security adds to its capability.
